VIRICIDE

An all-new arcade shooter built for original Game Boy Color hardware.
The infection is spreading. It’s time to fight back.
VIRICIDE is a fast-paced, multidirectional arcade shooter for the Game Boy Color, developed by UNNERVE. Blast viruses, dodge deadly Contamination Zones, and rack up points as an increasingly hostile digital world threatens to overwhelm you.
Designed for quick sessions and addictive high-score chasing, VIRICDE is easy to pick up but hard to put down.
Normal Mode

Destroy viruses. Earn points. Survive the infection.
Take control of your ship and blast your way through waves of viruses while avoiding dangerous Contamination Zones scattered throughout the arena.
The longer you survive, the more dangerous the infection becomes. Enemies grow increasingly relentless, and the environment itself changes color as the corruption worsens.
For every 5,000 points earned, you’ll face a menacing boss determined to put an end to your efforts.
How high can you score before the infection overwhelms you?

Survival Mode
Defenseless and alone. Just survival.
Put your reflexes to the ultimate test in Survival Mode. With your weapons disabled, your only objective is to avoid the ever-present threat of Contamination Zones.
With no ability to shoot your way out of danger, every movement counts.
How long can you last?
The Story

Your mission is simple: eliminate the infection and survive for as long as possible.
Electronic-Inspired Music
VIRICDE features four original tracks inspired by decades of electronic music.
From driving electronic rhythms to ominous mechanical melodies, the soundtrack is a love letter to the genre, bringing the digital world of Viricide to life through the distinctive sound of the Game Boy.
